Friday Afternoon Club

Start the weekend off right with Keystone Resort’s Friday Afternoon Club.  Head to the Summit House to enjoy an evening of live music, drink and food specials and activities including horseshoes, corn hole, ladder ball, bocce ball and more!  Free live music will feature a variety of bands throughout the summer.  All activities are free and can be checked out through the Overlook Grill.

Keystone’s Friday Afternoon Club is accessible via a scenic ride on the River Run Gondola. A foot passenger ticket or lift ticket is required to access the Gondola. Foot passenger tickets are available at the River Run Ticket Office and are FREE on Fridays from 1pm-close.  Call 800-354-4386 for more information.

Super Slimy Science
Join the Keystone Science School in discovering the wonders of Colorado’s waterways! The Super Slimy Science Program will allow guests to familiarize themselves with Summit County aquatics, focusing on the biological and chemical aspects of the Snake River. The program consists of hands-on activities, including searching for water bugs and performing fun tests on the water from the river. Don’t miss out on the science, adventure and fun!

Family Nature Hike with Crafts 
Take a free family nature hike lead by Keystone naturalists each Tuesday throughout the summer. Kids and parents can enjoy a short hike where they will learn about native trees, birds and animals that thrive in our high-alpine environment, as well as the mining history on the mountain. The walk is a great introduction to the Rockies, and begins in River Run Gondola Plaza.
Dates: Every Tuesday from June 14 to August 30 
Time: 10:00am - 11:30am

Age: This hike will be on gentle terrain, we recommend it as best for ages 4-8, but all in the family can enjoy with some help from baby carriers and rugged strollers.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Women's Wednesday Bike Clinics

Women rule on Wednesdays at Keystone. Shred the Keystone Bike Park with other women riders every Wednesday with a female coach to guide you through skill progression. This is the perfect opportunity to give mountain biking a try while meeting other women to ride with.

Mountain Top Yoga

Yoga is a mind-body practice with health benefits ranging from muscle strength and flexibility, to stress relief. Enjoy a scenic gondola ride to the top of Dercum Mountain with breath taking views of the 10 Mile Mountain range and clear, clean air. Our certified yoga instructor will lead a discussion of the benefits of stretching and yoga prior to an hour-long class surrounded by the splendor of the Rocky Mountains. This unforgettable experience will refresh and rejuvenate your spirit and physical well being. After Yoga, enjoy a healthy lunch and a refreshing juice before heading back down the gondola.

A unique walking tour with a view - at the summit of Dercum Mountain.  You’ll learn unique Keystone and Colorado facts relating to our place in Summit County history. Afterwards, feel free to stay a while and enjoy yourself at our Summit House restaurant. 
Some things you will hear about from your guide: Keystone history that ranges from over 10,000 years ago, to silver and gold mining methods, to Keystone's transformation from a mining town into a world class ski resort.

Summit House- as you exit the gondola take a right.  Your guide will be standing outside wearing a cowboy hat.

The Adventure Center is the center for family fun in the summer time. Stop inside the building to rent paddle boats, kayaks, canoes, stand up paddle boards, and bicycles. There are arcade games and a snack bar inside the building too. Outside, kick back and relax on our beach while the kids build sand castles with our beach toys, engage in a game of bean bag toss or checkers with our giant checkerboard, or visit the playground located near Decatur Field. Free Wii rentals are also available.

Sunday Tie-Dye
Tie-dye a Keystone logo shirt to take home as a souvenir! We will provide the shirt, dye, and gloves. Open to all ages. Shirt sizes range from Youth S to Adult XL.

Wild West Night  
Bike, hike or gallop over to the Keystone Stables for Wild West Night. The fun begins at 5 p.m. with horseshoe games, lasso demos and s’mores around the campfire. Food and adult beverages are available for purchase, as well as $5 pony rides. Each night also features a classic, family-friendly Western-themed movie starting at 5:30 p.m.

Special Guest Appearances from Red Tail - The Colorado Mountain Man

Join the campfire and hear some stories from this local legend.  Red Tail will take your family back in time with his authentic and historically accurate presentation on Colorado mountaineers and their experiences with the Indians, the wildlife native to Colorado, and the hardships of their wilderness experience. Red Tail will speak about cultural heritage as well as touching on environmental and ecological issues past and present. His show-n-tell, question and answer format allows his audience to see, hear, feel, and smell what it was like to live in the Rockies in the early 1800s.

Tuesday Spin Art

Strider Balance Bike Race Series 
Designed just for the little ones, the Strider Balance Bike Race Series is a fun way for kids to start practicing their bike and balance skills early. Kids can enter and race through River Run Village to vie for prizes awarded to top finishers. The race is free, and free strider bike rentals are available at Keystone Sports (limited availability). Helmets are required for all racers.Prizes for top finishers.

Tee It Up for Wounded Warriors

Keystone Adaptive Center (KAC) and the Scotty McFadden Foundation invite you to the 6th Annual “Tee it Up for Wounded Warriors & KAC” 4-person scramble at the Keystone Ranch Golf Course. The Keystone Adaptive Center opened in 2005 to serve people with disabilities and special needs through outdoor recreation including adaptive skiing, snowboarding and adaptive cycling.
